Launch TapFix AI with a double-click. That's it.
First launch — permissions
macOS will ask for two permissions so TapFix can work across all your apps. You grant them once.
Accessibility: lets TapFix read the text you selected and paste the corrected, rewritten or translated result back into the active app.
Input Monitoring: lets your hotkeys and the floating button trigger actions in any app.
Where: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and Input Monitoring.
Privacy
Straightforward: AI actions run only when you ask for them. Here is exactly what leaves your Mac.
AI processing: when you trigger an action, the selected text is sent to our server api.tapfixai.app for AI processing, and the result is returned.
Local features: keyboard-layout fix and clipboard history work on your device.
Requirements: macOS 14 or newer, Apple Silicon (M1 and later).
